![]() The nearest market is 7 miles away, so it's best to come prepared.… I struggled to sleep well and would consider opting for a private room with a full-size bed next Tip: If you're planning to stay for 2-3 nights, bring along both cooked and uncooked food, as well as enough drinks to cover three meals a day. The only downside was the dorm bed's comfort. The environment is tranquil, just what I wanted. The real highlight is the hostess - incredibly patient and helpful, always willing to accommodate guest requests like bed changes. While there's no direct ocean view, the beach is just 2-3 miles away. The hostel is located at the coastal trailhead with numerous short trails. Wi-Fi is limited to the main lodge, but that was fine for me. Plenty of parking is available, though there are no public restrooms for visitors. The dorm has its own living room with a fantastic mountain view. The services are basic, which is typical for hostels. This time I was in a bunk house with I think 10 bunk beds and one bathroom with two toilets, two sinks and two showers. I stayed in the main lodge last time in a room with 6 beds. I loved it then and I really like it now but a few kinks need to be refined which I am sure will happen. I visited here 8 years ago when it was Point Reyes Hostel. This lodge was really bought by a private party and just recently opened.
